Safe Place Ministries exists to provide education, resources, support, and services to individuals, care providers, and churches whose lives and ministries have been touched by domestic abuse, childhood sexual abuse, and/or sexual assault.
Safe Place Ministries began in 1995. Today a paid staff of six (two full-time and four part-time) and a corps of approximately 100 volunteers are working together to meet the 1) recovery needs of individual women and children and 2) the ministry needs of churches. SPM offers a full range of victim services to the greater Boise area as well as training and resources throughout Idaho and beyond through our Education Resource Network.
Safe Place Ministries is an Idaho nonprofit corporation with 501 (c) (3) 509 (a) tax exempt status. We are supported by gifts from individuals, businesses, churches, grants, modest fees, and client donations.
We greatly appreciate the impact SPM has had on the pastor couples and churches we work with through IMM. We feel our partnership with SPM has filled a need that we couldn't replace or duplicate with any other resource.David & Carolyn Roper, Idaho Mountain Ministries
